Floralia
Floralia. (ancient roman spring flower festival) Still Life 2025.
A celebration of spring in full rapture, Floralia is a joyful abundance of poppies, tulips, and anemones. Also grevillea, wisteria vine, ranunculus, cherry blossom and my precious daffodils that I have a love affair with every spring. All, gathered from our garden beds and arranged as if from a wild, imagined garden. Inspired by the ancient Roman festival that honoured the goddess of flowers, this photograph captures the fleeting beauty of bloom at its most exuberant. Petals like silk and flame, intense pops of colour , a moment suspended between past and present, where nature dances, and nothing fades quietly.
Inspired by the Dutch Masters floral paintings but reimagined through a contemporary lens.
Arranged and Photographed by Laura

The Print and the Paper
Printing: Giclée Archival Inkjet Print
Paper: Fine Art Etching Cotton Rag 330gsm matte
Your artwork will be printed on premium Fine Art Etching Cotton Rag 330gsm matte paper, this is museum quality for highest age resistance. It will be rolled in a tube and shipped directly to you from the printers and include a signed certificate of authentication. Please ask your framer to attach this to the back of the frame. All prints come unframed with a 10mm white handling border. It has a delicate surface so we recommend extra care when handling. As much as I understand the desire to open your parcel as soon as you have received it, I strongly advise not opening the tube but give directly to your framer to handle, they will use special gloves to avoid finger prints and be working in a space that protects the paper. Your artwork is an investment and very precious so I recommend asking your framer to use a protective non-reflective artglass with a UV filter, this will greatly reduce any potential fading. I recommend either UV70 or museum glass.
