The Heritage Series

At the heart of the Heritage Series is the idea that flowers themselves can carry stories across generations, the scent of a rose that can transport you back to your grandmothers garden.  Many of the blooms I choose to grow and photograph are a living link to the past, old garden cultivars that have been cherished, shared and tended for decades.  Seeds saved and shared among friends and neighbours, cuttings from roses that were first planted hundreds of years ago and now flourishing in my own garden.  Growing them is an act of preserving history and photographing them is a way of honouring them.

Each piece in the Heritage Series has been thoughtfully conceived as an heirloom artwork to be treasured today and passed down tomorrow.  Every print is carefully produced using archival, museum quality Fine Art Etching Cotton Rag 330gsm paper and printed as a Giclée Archival Inkjet print, ensuring exceptional longevity and a richness of detail. Giclée fine art prints are renowned for their longevity which is why they are displayed in the world’s finest museums, art galleries and private art collections. I have chosen the premium media Fine Art Etching Cotton Rag paper as it has been designed for museum quality photographic and fine art work, its subtle texture complements the painterly floral artworks beautifully adding a tactile feel with depth and warmth.

Each print is individually authenticated and signed as a valuable print by Laura Tait.

The flowers themselves are at the heart of this legacy.  They are grown locally, most nurtured in Laura’s own garden, some foraged from the surrounding countryside and others lovingly gifted by friends and neighbours.  None of the flowers are imported, ensuring that every artwork is rooted in the authenticity of its place.

These are pieces to cherish, respect and keep or pass down, a quiet homage to the art of preserving beauty, both past and present.

The Heritage Series

At the heart of the Heritage Series is the idea that flowers themselves can carry stories across generations, the scent of a rose that can transport you back to your grandmothers garden.  Many of the blooms I choose to grow and photograph are living links to the past, old garden cultivars that have been cherished, shared and tended for decades.

Every print is carefully produced using archival, museum quality German Hahnemühle Photorag paper and printed as a Giclée Archival Inkjet print, ensuring exceptional longevity and a richness of detail and depth.

To honour the timeless quality of each image, we worked closely with El Framo, a family owned studio in the heart of Auckland, renowned for their bespoke framing.  Their craftsmanship draws on centuries old techniques, each frame thoughtfully selected to complement the artwork and add another layer of depth and history.

Glass: We have used premium Art-glass which offers UV protection and a non-reflective finish to preserve and present each piece at its best.

Each print is individually authenticated and signed as a valuable print by Laura Tait and offered as a strictly limited edition.

The flowers themselves are at the heart of this legacy.  They are grown locally, most nurtured in Laura’s own garden, some foraged from the surrounding countryside and others lovingly gifted by friends and neighbours.  None are store bought or imported, ensuring that every artwork is rooted in the authenticity of its place.

These are pieces to cherish, respect and keep or pass down, a quiet homage to the art of preserving beauty, both past and present.
